Planning a Project
First Considerations
What do we want to explore?
What are the goals for the project?
What can the information gathered be used for?
Who needs to be involved in the project?
Further Considerations
Who can provide us with information of the topic(s)?
How many interviews should we conduct?
How many people should we interview?
Who should be interviewed first?
Are any of the people we want to interview in ill health or advanced in years?
Who will conduct the interviews?
How do we want to record the interviews? with audio only? or with video?
What kind of equipment will we need?
What kind of research will need to be done before the interviews can take place?
How much will the project cost? Where will the funds come from?
What legal issues do we have to consider?
What does our consent form need to include? Who needs to approve it? and sign it?
What will happen to the interviews after we have gathered them and used them for our purposes?
