UNC Charlotte students, faculty, and staff, as well as other academic researchers and the public, may use Special Collections upon registration and presentation of a valid photographic identification card (driver's license or university ID) at the Special Collections Reference Desk.

Special Collections staff assist patrons in locating books, documents, manuscripts, maps, photographs, and other material, as well as access to the UNC Charlotte Archives, the information source for the University's history. In some cases, staff may direct you to other sources in Atkins Library and outside the University.

Photocopy and Duplication Requests

Duplication of materials is determined on a case by case basis. All requests must be approved by staff based on copyright status, conditions of materials, and any restrictions. All duplication will be completed by Special Collections staff.
